PETROPOLITAN is
operated by Merle and Stacey Shannon, parents of Founder, Keith
Shannon. The business is staffed with numerous professional and
canine-loving employees and is pleased to offer your pet Baton
Rouge’s finest care from our outstanding and highly-qualified
personnel.
The Shannon’s live in Baton Rouge, owning and operating businesses
here for more than forty years. (They’re trying to break the Guiness Book of
World Records.) They particularly enjoy providing
such an important and necessary service to the metropolitan Baton
Rouge area. Merle and Stacey really enjoy getting to know their
customers and their customer’s pets as well!
PETROPOLITAN’s canine
crew has true love and respect for all animals. We are extremely
proud of the many accomplishments of our wonderful staff! Several
have accrued numerous hours volunteering at local animal shelters as
well as at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary
Medicine.
Some employees have acquired professional experience as Veterinarian
Assistants while others have professional experience working in the
nationally-based pet industry. One employee is currently pursuing
her degree in Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University
while another has already earned a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries
from Louisiana State University.
All of our employees, including our excellent high school student
workers, are dedicated to ensuring your furry friends’ happiness and
